Fashion Creative with Premika!

After many months in Montreal shooting glamour, I had the pleasure of working with an Ontario model Premika. We corresponded via Facebook with outfits we may want to try, and literally threw this one together. Premika can do her own make-up, and I experimented with a new lighting technique here. I removed my octobox (soft box) front diffuser cover creating a soft spot light effect, aiming the light down on model also created the fashion back shadow...Hope you all enjoy!

I don't know how Karen & I do it, but somehow no matter where we go we always end up in someone's Face book Launch party pics LOL....This time it was in Eaton's Center in Downtown Montreal. We walked into the mall and she decided to check out some accessories and BAM! after a few conversation the photographer asked us to pose for a pic weird and funny, and downright embarrassing sometimes..but hey here it is!

The Road that lead back to Montreal....

Wow! It's been way to long since my last post and so much has happened since.
I have spent the last year shooting for a commercial stock photo house so my focus was more on creating stock images that sell than my artistic projects. In any case the job ended without notice as the owner closed up shop, and I had to take a serious look at my life and if I was in even happy in Toronto. I also had to look at my clients and realized I am better off in a more liberal city like Montreal.
After spending one week in Montreal with my girlfriend Karen trying to find a place, we gave up and came back to Toronto to figure things out. Karen suggested I try asking friends about getting a place and voila! It worked out and within literally 2 hours we had e-mailed a deposit and we packed up in one night and left the next morning! Anyhow...I am overall much happier here, and Karen has also opened my eyes that no matter what culture or language there are bad and good people. I just try to stay away from the people who have bad energy LOL....We are just about to move into a beautiful three bedroom, which will be set up for shoots as well.....I 'll keep you posted on the progress!

YYZ Fashion Magazine Launch Party!!!

I was invited to the YYZ magazine Launch party in Toronto at the "Ultra Supper Club" located on trendy Queen street West.
I brought my girlfriend Karen Along along, and as soon as we walked in we were hit with photographers as though we were actually someone famous LOL....I guess it was suppossed to make you feel important but for me it was kind of embarassing. Anyhow, the evening was a success for the magazine as almost anyone who's anyone in Toronto was there. My favorite thing I hate to admit was the free appetizers and Mimosas (champagne & Strawberries & orange juice). Other than that is was a true fashion schmooze fest.

The Most Beautiful Girl in my World....

Many of you may have been wondering what I've been up to....well the last two months have kept me very busy. I will fill you all in on my new MUSE ( Girlfriend), her name is Karen Constance, and she is "The most beautiful girl in my world".
We met through a mututal friend and the sparks flew, and we haven't left each other's side since. I started to photograph her right away, and trust me we have more shoots planned soon. This photo shoot is just a simple B&W shoot we shot in a friend's bedroom in the morning in natural light. I love this and cannot wait to see her with full MUA & Hair on location.  Karen is not only a beauty on the outside, but has many amazing talents as well including break dance, singing, guitar, and she can even twirl a baketball one finger for a very long time LOL...(a talent that baffels me every time).
Karen is from an Island just south east of South Africa called Ile De Maurice or in English "Island of Mauritious". She is an exotic mix of African, Asian, Indian & has Parisian roots and family. She is an incredible muse for any artist as she is an artist herself. I hope you enjoy these pics and look out for more from Karen very soon.
